Description/Notes
Rikk, Frank and Alfie Agnew come of age during the summer of 1976 in Fullerton California. They begin their musical journey by plucking on second hand instruments acquired from various sources. They teach themselves, how to play Rock songs from the radio. By 1981,the brothers join Casey Royer,Tony Reflex,Steve Soto and form the Adolescents, the single “Amoeba” quickly becomes an underground hit on LA’s World famous KROQ (Rodney on the Roq show). The Agnew brothers begin to experience overnight success at a very young age. The 1980’s punk rock movement empowered youths to rebel against the status quo, while liberating on a social level the same rebellious attitude can destroy any chance of longevity in the music business. This is their story.
