Casting Call for Theatre

The quieter and more mature of the Hatchbaker sisters, Ariana's life is completely normal, until she spots a Northern Soldier, and they fall in love. To play the role of Ariana, you must have an airy, light, and beautiful tone of voice. She is in almost every scene, so you must also have good endurance throughout the production.

Ariana's love interest, Jack doesn't want to be in the Northern war. He complains about his mother "practically forcing" him to join. This actor must be incredibly versatile, and can show his emotions flawlessly. You must also be able to make your character "iconic" in only a few lines.

Jeffrey is Ariana and Louisiana's father. He is strict, but also has a sweet side. You must be a strong actor and singer, but cannot overshadow the leads and Louisiana.

Louisiana is the more headstrong and naive of the Hatchbaker sisters, she longs to not do her schoolwork, and join Ariana in chores around the family farm. Louisiana sings many solos, and must be an incredible actor. However, Louisiana cannot overshadow the lead in any way, and must remain a "supporting" character who has more lines and solos than Ariana's love interest.

The mother to Ariana and Louisiana. You must be an actor who visibly hates Northerners, and can show that through your solos and lines.
