The film is called THE PUPIL and centers on the relationship of an aging esteemed musician, Gus, who is also losing his hearing, and Ty, an underprivileged teen boy with a great deal of musical potential who takes the position as Gus's pupil. As Gus is rapidly losing his hearing ability, he is desperate to push all of his musical knowledge upon Ty in order to prepare him for an upcoming piano competition.
