Casting male and female leads for an Independent feature film

TITLE: (withheld)

PLOT: When a trip to visit family turns into a nightmare right before their eyes, a stranded couple must delve deep within themselves in order to survive the horrors of a psychopath. Loosely based on a true story, with social, political, and racial undertones this film expose the real horror of the world, men versus men.

WHERE: North Mississippi
WHEN: Early November (subject to change)
HOW LONG: 2 weeks. (subject to change)
UNION: Non-union preferred, but will consider low budget Sag-Indie contracts.

Male Lead (1): Boyfriend, African American, 25 – 35, sarcastic, smart, confident, logical, and withdrawn.

Female Lead (1): Girlfriend, Caucasian, 20 – 30, strong, naïve, vulnerable, emotional, smart and feisty.

Male Lead (2): Male, Caucasian, 30 – 40, soft, gentle, trusting, explosive temper, subservient, sarcastic.

Female Lead (2): Woman, Caucasian, 55 - 65, controlling, strong, demanding, warm, trusting, devious and deceitful.

BEFORE YOU CONSIDER AUDITIONING, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:

No sex/nudity, but actors will be required and prepared to withstand some physically expectations such as fighting, running, and scenes with gore. This is a Horror/Slasher Film in the same vein as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

This project is a collaborative effort. Natural ability to improve will be welcomed.

Most filming will take place on location overnight in doors, but mostly outdoors, with some day filming as well.

The perfect candidates will posses great acting prowess and will have a natural presence with the ability to spontaneously and natural react to unexpected scenarios.
