Sides & Audition Instructions

This project is accepting online video auditions through Casting Elite. Casting Directors provide specific directions regarding what they'd like to see included in the video auditions. It may be a simple introduction or a reading of sides. By customizing the content, they are able to see your personality and ensure that the submission is recent. You will have until Aug 16, 2021 to record and upload your video.

Audition Instructions/Sides:

Towards the end of the film it's Valentine's Day, the lead is trying to get to his destination to stop the text virus from
going out of control. The main antagonist mass texts everyone in a radius of him, placing everyone under a love spell
while making the male roles insanely jealous to delay him from reaching his destination.
Jennifer is waiting for her boyfriend to arrive for their Valentine's Day picnic. She's getting some sun and is wearing a
swim top, smaller party outfit (revealing with skirt) or smaller tube top with denim shorts, with shades.
(Important to display age and character, the costume is revealing that it shows a lot of stomach, neck line, and legs,
modern outfit for the character)
She receives a text and looks at her phone, it has a text instructing her to fall in love with the main character which puts
her under a love spell. She feels something hit her forehead like it was some sort of spell.
She shakes her head saying "what was that" feeling the magic. She is texted a photo of the lead (implied) and smiles in
a love struck daze touching her phone like she was reaching out to him saying "I-I never noticed before (gasping) He's
so beautiful... (sighing) I'm sooo in love with him" She turns slowly to look at the camera and smiles, sighing really
showing she's completely under a love spell.
*note, the love spell really brings out her nieve side, making her very obsessive and attached gradually changing her
into a grade schooler in love, like staring off at him like he's so dreamy. She still maintains the bubbly personality, but
fixates on him. This puppy love obsession ruins her relationship and college scholarship as she loses focus on anything
other than him, which forces Michael to take drastic means to break the spell and salvage the relationship between
Jennifer and his nephew, really sell the cheerleader-ish bubbly love with energy and even cheer/dance moves to try and
impress him, her role is meant to be a bit awkward as she reverts to child-like love and fixation due to the spell*
She energetically runs her hands up her sides and through her hair giggling, then spins around not believing what's
going on.
Jennifer
"You're Matt's uncle....(smiling wide slowly pulling her shades down and takes them off) right?"
She tries to catch her words but can't think straight.
She adjusts her outfit to be more revealing, totally locked in on him, and can't stop smiling.
Jennifer
It's the strangest thing...it's like I'm under this powerful love spell, I can't stop thinking about you, about us, about our
life together!
She gushes over him, complimenting him over and over, professing her love, over and over, and tries her hardest to look
more alluring to him, but is so enchanted, and so in love. The spell is so strong that she questions ever being in love
before saying that she is just devoted to him now.
Jennifer
Matt...I have to break up with him
She takes out her phone and starts to text, but can't look away so she fumbles while staring with this huge smile on her
face. She hits send and shrugs, walking slowly to him expressing that she needs to be with him.
Jennifer
"Why haven't I noticed before...my soulmate has been right here this whole time! I NEED you to look at me, just for a
moment...I'll do anything just to look at me, this feeling is so unreal!
She twirls around excitedly feeling her heart beat even faster!

Jennifer
"You know I'm a model right?" she says with a wide lovelorn smile.
She awkwardly does modeling poses to be flirty while confessing her love non-stop, it's obvious she doesn't know what
she's doing but continues to pose, compliment, flirt and try to be as seductive as she can, but it's clear that now she just
isn't experienced.
She feels lightheaded as the spell gets stronger, she shakes her head and is even more into him. Suddenly she has no
memory of any past relationships. He is now her first love and she tells him this, over and over while trying to get the
attention of a crush a grade schooler would have, just a lot of innocent poses, giggling, throwing in dance, like if
someone with no experience tried to move seductively, and it shows she is now really innocent. We want it to be very
cringe worthy to show just how far the magic has gone and create a sense of urgency.
*Ad-lib for a good while being this much in love, constantly model, while giggling and hanging on his every word. We
want to see how you ad-lib these expressions to pepper throughout the scene, and how you can act off the rails so to
speak. Really draw this out as filler.
After a moment she just stands there and stares awkwardly at him smiling and sighing like she is on cloud 9, like she's
hanging on his every word, like she can't look away.
He tries to get away, and she tries to block his path begging him to take her. She starts showering him in kisses (like the
cartoons) and he breaks free, she runs off screen after him.
